In honor of what would no doubt have been Brooke Hester's 10th Birthday Wish, her nonprofit, Brooke's Blossoming Hope for Childhood Cancer Foundation will be honoring her legacy of selfless wishes by raising money specifically to support pediatric cancer research in hopes to save and change the lives of children with cancer worldwide.
Come enjoy an evening under the stars with an exclusive dolphin show, close encounters with creature feature interactions as well as an intimate, acoustic performance by rising Texas Country Music Artist Case Hardin.

Brooke Elizabeth Hester was the first born child to her parents Beau and Jessica in April 2007. She was a happy, healthy toddler who was exceptionally bright and her vibrant green eyes were always spirited and playful. Unfortunately, her life changed dramatically at the tender age of 3 1/2 when suddenly she was stricken with pains that left her unable to walk that was soon discovered to be aggressive stage IV neuroblastoma cancer throughout her body and bone marrow.
For her 4th birthday, a few short months later, she was so sick that she could barely hold her head up and wasn't even able to enjoy a single slice of cake or even open her presents. She was so ill from the harsh chemo treatment she was receiving that she nearly died....
But on her 5th birthday, shortly after her first aggressive cancer progression treatment of radioactive antibodies released into her blood stream, Brooke did something extraordinary.
She made a selfless birthday wish... to help others. She wanted to give away blossoms and headbands to all children fighting cancer. Some amazing friends made her wish come true and that year, Brooke even made the ABC world news in NYC for her selfless wish.
On her 6th birthday, Brooke, still battling cancer made another selfless wish to help children with cancer by raising money for her newly formed 501c3 official foundation, Brooke's Blossoming Hope for Childhood Cancer Foundation, or Brooke's Blossoms.
When Brooke turned 7, she made a specific wish to be able to donate $7,777.77 to childhood cancer research and that amount was met and matched by a donor as an additional surprise for her raising over $15,000 for pediatric cancer research from her birthday wish.
Brooke continued to battle cancer without remission for nearly 5 years, more than half of her life, and her 8th birthday wish was even more extraordinary.
She didn't want gifts... she wished that all children with cancer could get better -immediately. To put it in her own words, she wanted, "people to raise money so that way kids can feel better and medicine can take away the lumpies that children have... immediately."
She told her mom this just a couple of weeks before her birthday - but being Brooke, she set the bar high. She was after all, turning 8... so she wanted to raise $88,888 for pediatric cancer research. She surpassed that goal and the week following her birthday she was able to make her birthday wish come true when she made her donation to pediatric cancer research. That was in May 2015.
Brooke passed away that June...
She left behind big shoes to fill. Her selfless heart and love lives on as her foundation has now grown to reach over 80,000 children in 50 countries with hand made head wear care packages and in addition has been able to give over $300,000 to pediatric cancer research that is already producing remarkable results to save the lives of children with cancer thanks to a 100% volunteer led effort through her nonprofit. Unfortunately, as long as cancer is the #1 disease killer of children, and efforts remain grossly underfunded, it is not enough.
It isn't easy, but if we all do a little, we can and are making a difference so that more children, like Brooke, can fight with more hope for cures.
